Finn and his parental units settled in at our Bayfield home and Finn went
straight to work, trying out his new toys.
A rare photo of Finn and I.
A wee tear as Finn learns his new boundaries.
Our first visitors were Wend and Lachlan from Midland. They visited with the
McEacherns while Dani began the piles of laundry from the cottage and
settled in for their final days in Ontario.
The seven of us drove up to Blyth’s Cowbell Brewery.
Thanks to Wendy for the photos.
What, free beer?
We met cousins Jane from Collingwood and Marilyn from England.
Marilyn timed her holiday to visit Dani and Al and meet Finn!
Marilyn and Jane pose by Wendy’s oils at the Coldwater Studio Tour.
Yay, I am at the head of the table, I get to watch everyone and everything!
Wendy, did you order something that we can share?

Going Home
To eliminate a long car trip followed by a long wait at the airport,
we drove to Orangeville for lunch, then had a rest and a visit with
Kim and Ed in Caledon. The break was perfect as the airport was
only an hour away. I had discussed Gravol with a pharmacist who
confirmed that although he was under two years old, Finn weighed
enough to safely take Gravol. The Grammy-blubbering began at the
airport and continued for a few days following the departure of Dani,
Al and Finn. Luckily, their flight home was relatively peaceful but very
exhausting for all. We miss you!
I wanna go home and see Salty and Pretzel but I wanna stay in Canada too.
No…..Don’t go!!!!
And so the tears begin….
Chris and I were so sad for the next few days, I had to cover Finn’s pile of toys
with a blanket and refused to wash his little fingerprints off the windows. Even
Dixie missed her daily hugs and asked how she could play with Thomas the Tank
Engine without Finn. We must plan our next trip to Australia soon.
